Lately . . .

We absolutely love being parents! Kamryn is doing really well! On March 1st she had to go into an ENT specialist to get her frenulum (skin that connects underneath her tongue) clipped because hers was tight. Now she is able to move her tongue around a lot more and will be less likely to have speech problems when she is older. She did so well and barely even cried, which made it a lot easier on mom. She also had her 2 week check up last week and it went very well. The doctor gave her an A+ with her growth and development so far! She now weighs 8 pounds 4 ounces- 44th percentile, is 19 1/2 inches long- 53rd percentile, and her head circumference is 34 1/2 cm.- 19th percentile. She is a happy healthy baby and we could not ask for anything more! We notice something new about her everyday. It is truly amazing how fast they grow and change! This past weekend we were in Bartlesville and Grams took some pictures of Kamryn. Here she is at 3 weeks. Thanks Grams for your great photography skills!

Welcome Baby Kamryn Elizabeth
Yay, we have finally started a family blog! No better time to start than now with the birth of our first baby girl, Kamryn Elizabeth Boyd. We feel so incredibly blessed to have a healthy, beautiful baby. There really are no words to describe the immediate bond and the incredible amount of love you feel towards your own baby.
She has been home for a week now and we could not have imagined it being this easy. I know we're probably jinxing ourselves by saying this, but she really is such a good baby. She is so calm and content and rarely ever cries. Not to mention she is only waking up 2-3 times a night, so mommy and daddy are actually able to get some sleep. We love just staring at her, watching her facial expressions and listening to all of her cute little coos and squeaks- it's just adorable! We just can't get enough of her! Here are some pictures from this past week of her life!
